This is crazy but true. Dwight Howard has missed more FTs this year (332) than Steve Nash has in his entire career (322) http://usat.ly/10z9kJx

the NBA and Game of Thrones? lol.

/u/LieutenantKumar breaks down the families by teams:

I think the Knicks are similar to the Tyrells: They have money and power, but will probably not end up with the throne.

Spurs are definitely the Starks. They are traditioned, consitent, and will always be near the top.

Lakers are the Lannisters obviously. Filled with glamour, gold, and drama.

The Heat are the Targaryen family because Chris Bosh is a dragon.

OKC is house Baratheon because they are known as the storm kings and are from the Stormlands.

Celtics are House Greyjoy, trying to get back the power they once had.

Nuggets are House Arryn, because they are in the rockies and the Arryn castle is on top of a mountain. The Eyrie is impenetrable and its really hard to beat the Nuggets at home.

The Clippers are House Bolton, recently establishing power over the storied houses of the Starks

David Stern is Littlefinger because he likes to fuck things up.

  • Great interview, article with Andre Iguodala

Great offense will beat great defense, but if you make great offense work long enough, the impact will be felt. That’s what great defenses do. That’s what great defenders do. That’s what Iguodala does.

  • This has had a paradoxical result: Because NBA teams embraced advanced stats so quickly, progress on basketball analytics has actually slowed down. The top minds are now all working in silos, not only unable to collaborate but actually competing against each other.
