This is job hunting
Scanning job ads, getting interested, then realizing the job is for the current place you temp for and kind of hate but only in the way you kind of hate everything and wonder if employed would you hit the point where the hatred becomes toxic.

“So when the Irish, when Germans, when Italians were coming, and they didn’t speak the language and they didn’t know the culture, the idea was they will assimilate into Americanhood; they will become American, which in the American tradition has meant white American. But that melting pot never included people of...

Ratings talk is tedious talk (and often overblown)
Perspective: the Grammys were seen by more people than the Oscars (as of right now) but considering that one of the biggest stars had just died and there was a promised tribute (your decision on whether or not it lived up to things or not), combined with the Chris Brown issue (guess who also popped up at the All-star game, more on that later maybe); and the Oscars Best Picture lineup were not the...

Smash: reaction
Derek is such a dick. Sometimes I forget but then he does something fresh to remind me.
So were Derek and Tom friends at one point? Or was that just a show for Nick Jonas?
Huston is still MVP of the acting part for me.
I thought I’d like Ellis more than I currently do.
Karen and Ivy rank about the same for me when it comes to whom I like.
Karen and Dev, please stay together.
Smash is...

Smash midway
Jeff is jerk.
Derek is still the worst.
I do not hate Ivy and I can understand her current actions because it is only workshop and if anyone would know, she’d know how tenuous her grip on that role is.
I do not hate Karen though gets a little too gee whiz for me at moments.
Never thought I’d say this: Bring on Nick Jonas!

Netflix: Down to the wire
Burning through the selections leaving 2/29 thanks to Starz pulling their stuff. Why do media companies do this? It is super annoying.
Had to make sure there were only four episodes of The Take before I got too invested.

I was ready to be internet outraged at just flipping half the gender of Sherlock Holmes on a CBS drama, but then I saw that Lucy Liu was playing the ‘Watson’ character and I’ve loved her so much, especially lately in Southland. Though, now her staying on next season looks super unlikely.
Take the crossed arms to half a notch and I am still at discontent but I will check the show...
